Description
You will need to provide
- Congress canvas measuring at least 30cm x 40cm
- Stranded cottons - 6 solid colours - required quantities are laid out in your pattern
- Size 24 tapestry needle
- Your preferred embroidery frame (a scroll frame works well for this project)
- Good quality cotton fabric chosen to coordinate with your embroidery. If you would like to use different fabrics for the lining and the outside of the box, you will need 20 cm of standard 114cm wide fabric for the outside and 40cm of standard 114cm wide fabric for the lining.
- Heavy duty acid free card (e.g. Peterboro Mounting Board) measuring 80cm x 50cm
- Sharp, general purpose needle for construction
- Curved needle for construction (optional)
- Strong thread (e.g. quilters cotton) for construction, chosen to match your cotton fabric
- Helmar 450 glue or good quality fabric glue
- Bead or button with 5mm diameter for the door handle
- 5cm of gold twist cord or equivalent to hang sign
- Assorted scissor charms (I buy mine from the shop “Bohemian Findings” on etsy.com)
- Invisible thread to attach charms
