Au Ver à Soie Ovale is a low twist filament silk that is smooth, soft, and lustrous. It is perfect for satin wrapping both tassel moulds and buttons and is excellent for any historic applications, especially embroidery, braiding and brocade weaves.
It is made of the best qualities of raw silk which give it an unrivalled brightness and softness.
Au Ver a Soie threads do not snarl in the needle and have a good tensile strength. It resists also very well to abrasion. It is considered as a reference thread in all needlework activities.
